The later years of life may bring the most stressful changes of adulthood. It is not surprising that many aging adults find that these years fall short of their expectations. The emotions and stresses associated with retirement, change in finances, loss of loved ones, loneliness and even physical changes associated with growing older can be overwhelming.

INSPIRATIONS is an outpatient counseling center assisting the older adult population in improving their emotional and mental well-being. Our program is designed to provide outpatient therapeutic counseling services to patients in a comfortable, home like environment. We serve patients within a designated 35-mile area in and around Duncan.

Patients are provided three interactive group sessions per day by a licensed mental health professional. Additionally, a board certified psychiatrist visits the patients once per month, or more as needed, for medication management. All services provided by Inspirations are ordered and reviewed by our psychiatrist. Patients participate in the program for approximately 3 hours per day Monday - Friday.

In addition to the counseling services, we provide therapeutic activities that allow patients an opportunity to explore and identify positive coping skills in an effort to improve their emotional and mental well-being. These activities are provided in a group setting and may include grief and loss resolution, therapeutic exercises, relaxation techniques, cognitive stimulation, educational instruction, communication skills and assertiveness training. We also provide lunch to our patients in a family dining atmosphere.

Duncan Inspirations is proud to offer free transportation to all patients. Our vans are equipped to transport patients with physical limitations and are operated by drivers who receive on going training.
