Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)

From 2012 -2013, Duncan Regional Hospital identified unmet community health needs in Stephens County, by conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment in collaboration with the Stephens County Health Department and a number of county businesses, agencies, and other organizations within Stephens County.

The determination of community health needs took into account community demographics, socio-economic factors and health service utilization trends thru the use of community meetings, survey’s, focus groups, and personal interviews.

The following assessment and formal report is in alignment with the federal IRS community benefit reporting requirements that affect all 501(C) (3) not-for-profit hospitals. The priorities identified in the assessment have been accepted by the Duncan Regional Hospital Board of Trustees. The assessment is available for the public on the Duncan Regional Hospital website and the Stephens County Health Department website.

Duncan Regional Hospital will utilize the assessment as a guide (over the next three years) for providing programs to address identified community health needs in support of the community and the mission of the organization.
